Radiation Levels in Kyoto & Tokyo on May 17th, 2011

The radiation levels in Kyoto and Tokyo have been stable. Kyoto has no influence from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Kyoto 0.039 microsievert/hour (average background radiation level in Kyoto : 0.033 - 0.087 microsievert/hour). No radiation risk in Kyoto.

Tokyo 0.063 microsievert/hour (average background radiation level is Tokyo: 0.028 - 0.079 microsievert/hour). No radiation risk in Tokyo.

You can compare with the natural background radiation level in your city or country with the radiation level in Kyoto and Tokyo. Then, you can decide whether you will visit Japan as you planned originally or not.
