The Aoi Matsuri or Hollyhock Festival will be held in Kyoto on May 15th (Sun). The Aoi Festival is one of the three largest and most important festivals in Kyoto (Gion Festival in July and Jidai Festival in October). The main part of this festival is the procession from the Kyoto Imperial Palace to Kamigamo Shrine (on the way, it goes through Shimogamo Shrine). The procession consists 500 people in historical costumes, 40+ horses, and two oxcarts.

Zen meditation class in English: 2000 yen
A portion of your meditation fee goes to the donation to the victims in the affected areas from the earthquake and tsunami on March 11th, 2011.
To attend the class at 9:00 - 10:30 and 10:40 -12:10, no reservation is required. However, please the reservation to attend our 13:30 - 15:00 class.
