Zen Meditation Class and Tour (90 minutes)

We start with a 10-minute instruction of Zen meditation and philosophy. Then, we do two 15-minute meditation sessions. After the meditation class. We will explain several artifacts in the temple. In our meditation class, you can learn how to incorporate Zen philosophy and meditation into your life style.

For our morning class, individual guests are welcome. No reservation is required.

However, our afternoon class and tour (13:30 - 15:00) is for a group visitors (a group of more than 5 people), and the reservation is necessary.

We start from a 10-minute talk about Zen Buddhism. Then, we do two 15-minutes meditation sessions. After the meditation class, We will show and explain the garden and artifacts of Shunkoin Temple.

At the end, we will serve a bowl of maccha green tea and sweet.

Also, you can take only a Zen meditation (60 min.), as well.

No reservation is required in our morning classes and tours.

However, for our afternoon class and tour (13:30 - 15:00), we accept only group reservations (a group of more than 5 people).

Also, at the Hatto (Lecture) Hall in the Myoshinji temple complex. There is an annual memorial ceremony for Emperor Hanazono (co-founder of the Myosinji School of Rinzai Zen Buddhism)at 10:00.

The temperature went lower than 10 degrees Celsius in this morning. Thus, the leaves are really changing their colors. However, some of the trees here haven't changed color yet.
